THE DETAILS, WITHOUT THE FUSS

Combine PDF files into one organized document.

Merge PDFs easily

Keep a report, supporting evidence and appendices together in one document. A combined PDF is easier for a recipient to follow than a collection of separate attachments.

Combine the documents that belong together

Applications, monthly invoices, scanned receipts, contracts and project notes are common candidates. Check that every file belongs in the package before selecting it.

Put the story in the right order

The merger follows the file list from top to bottom. Drag rows on desktop, or use the arrow buttons with a keyboard or touchscreen. Pages within each source remain in their existing order.

Original page content, one new file

Merging copies existing page content without recompressing images. Mixed page sizes remain mixed. Document-level bookmarks, interactive features and signatures may not transfer; retain the originals.

Simple on desktop and mobile

There is no app to install. Recent browsers can select files and create the output locally. Large scans may exceed available memory even when they fit the stated file limits.

Private processing in your browser

The PDF engine runs on your device. No account is involved, and your documents are not sent to a processing service. Close the tab when you finish working on a shared device.

A FEW ANSWERS

Merge PDF: your questions, answered.

How do I merge PDF files?

Choose at least two PDFs, arrange them with the arrow buttons or drag handles, then select Merge PDF. Download and check the combined document.

How many PDFs can I combine?

Select up to 30 PDFs, with a maximum of 50 MB per file and 100 MB in total. A merged job may contain up to 1,000 pages. Smaller batches work better on mobile.

Can I reorder my files?

Yes. Use the up and down buttons or drag a file row. Every page in one file is followed by every page in the next file. Individual page editing is not included.

Is merging free?

Yes. There is no account or payment required, and no watermark is added.

Are my PDF files uploaded?

No. Your browser reads the files locally and combines them on your device. PDF bytes are never sent to our server.

Can I merge on my phone?

Yes, in a recent browser that supports file selection and web workers. Use the arrow buttons to arrange files. Memory limits may make large jobs unsuitable for a phone.

Can I merge scanned documents?

Yes, if the scans are already saved as PDFs. Their existing page images are copied into the combined document.

Does merging affect image quality?

The merger copies existing PDF page content without rendering pages to images or recompressing their pictures. It does not promise to preserve every document-level feature.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Encrypted PDFs are not supported, including files with editing restrictions. Use an unprotected copy that you are authorized to process.

What happens to forms and signatures?

Interactive forms and signature fields are rejected to avoid silently losing their information. Use a flattened copy from the source application when appropriate. Digital signatures and document-level bookmarks are not guaranteed to survive merging; keep your originals.

Why did merging fail?

A damaged file, unsupported PDF structure, unusually large page count or insufficient browser memory can prevent merging. Try a smaller batch and export a fresh PDF from the source application.

Will my original files change?

No. The tool creates a new downloadable PDF. Reset removes the selected references from this page; it does not delete or overwrite files on your device.

MERGE PDF GUIDE

Merge PDF files with an order your reader can follow

The goal of a PDF merge is not just one file—it is one file that makes sense. Put the main document first, group related supporting files, and use the final download as the version you share.

Common reasons to merge PDFs

People often combine reports and appendices, forms and evidence, monthly invoices, scans, contracts, or project records. The tool copies whole source PDFs in the sequence you arrange.

What to check after merging

Open the downloaded file and confirm the page count, orientation, and transition between each source document. Keep originals because document-level features such as signatures may not survive a rewritten PDF.

A quick check before you share

  • Use only PDFs that you are authorized to combine.
  • Arrange the selected files before starting the merge.
  • Open the final PDF before attaching it to a form or email.
